I'm not so sure conservatives need to be aware of any such implication, as it was the Left calling for "defunding the police" and "depolicing", while also calling for their fellow citizens to "burn it all down".

If conservatives had had their way, there would have been a full and adequate law enforcement/military response, rather than leaving it to teenagers to defend a city from being attacked.
