A queen-size bed of lilac blooms
hidden deep in a valley of green
invites me to lay down and sleep forever,
sinking beneath the petals,
enveloped in that fragrance,
forgetting yesterday once and for all,
knowing only the music of your voice,
seeing only in monochromatic shades of you.

Muse, this is the hold you have on me.
