Please clarify as to what part of Trump's statements about Carroll were defamatory. Is it the simple fact that he denied the assault took place? Is it that he said she's "not my type"? Is it that he doubted her motivations for going public so long after the fact, once she had a book to sell and publicity to generate?
She claims that Trump has damaged her career by simply defending himself, but she was the one going public with an alleged incident that was never reported to the police, and all these years later is impossible to either substantiate or disprove, in what appears on the face of it to have been an attempt to smear him and hurt his chances in the 2020 election.
