Thank you so much for this wonderful piece! There is almost a musical quality to it that kept me hooked into it through to the end.

I can relate to the feeling of dislocation, which I had experienced first when I moved away from Ottawa to Toronto, and discovered what a folksy ‘small town’ guy I was for being from a national capital city, and then once again when I moved back to Ottawa, and discovered what an impatient and surly ‘big city’ guy Toronto had turned me into. (I’m now about 13 years back in my hometown, so I have somewhat re-acclimatized to the slower pace here.)
