The purpose of the original article (and your replies to my comments) is to shame white people into silence by essentially disqualifying them from speaking on their own behalf as individuals, and is thus a propaganda exercise. Whatever nuances exist in the article about *some* vs. *all* white people is lost in the very "trap" you perceive, as well as pseudo-psychoanalysis based on oppression points rather than clinical qualifications.
The original author concedes that for many white people, being called a "racist" can be as triggering or a white person as being called the n-word can be for a black person. And yet, is there ever any articles on Medium on "aggressive black fragility" around black reaction to the n-word?
The problem I'm having is that micro-managing how white people speak about themselves does precious little to address *actual* racial inequality, and may even constitute an avoidance of fighting it. As for me, I prefer to drill down to the heart of issues, rather that virtue signal at the surface.
