There is simply no way to about talk honestly about "systemic racism" (real or imagined) and/or the appearance of racist policing (real or imagined) without talking about black crime. It is the elephant in the room that disrupts the wokeist "blame whitey" fever dream, which is why "racial justice" types prefer to close their eyes, plug their ears, and pretend it doesn't exist, or that it simply has no bearing on the discussion.
You yourself hinted at said elephant in your original article with your passing (if hyperbolic) reference to black people being "slaughtered" by the police.
As you correctly pointed out in your reply, "And White people kill other White people more than they do Black people", which on its own seems unremarkable. Except that in 2016, black people accounted for 13% of the total U.S. population, but were responsible for almost 43% of all homicides (2870 out of a total of 6676). Compare that to white people, who according to the U.S. Census Bureau make up 76.3% of the population, being responsible for almost 48% of all homicides (3196 out of a total of 6676). Thus, black people kill their own and others at a much higher rate than white people kill their own and others.

And so this points to a far higher per capita rate of violent criminality among black people than white people, without even taking into account non-fatal violent criminality, though data from the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) program points to a similar paradigm:
The higher the per capita rate of violent criminality within a given community, the greater the odds of its offenders coming into conflict with the police, which goes a long way to explaining the disproportionate number of blacks being killed by police compared to whites. To say it all boils down to anti-black racism is to cut yourself on Occam's razor.
Nothing I'm saying here is a condemnation of black people in any way, nor am I suggesting that black people have an innate biological tendency towards violent crime. I see each violent crime as a tragedy, for victim (obviously) and perpetrator alike, because even if they're guilty as charged, all too often there is a series of events and circumstances that led to the perpetrator committing their crime(s), with economics being the first likely domino in this chain reaction.
I agree with those who say the black community doesn't need any "white saviors"--if anything, it needs its own saviors in the form of more black entrepreneurs, and more black fathers in the home to mentor their sons. (There’s too much at stake for me to give a shit how sexist that sounds.) As Denzel Washington famously put it, to the chagrin of SJW's:
“If the father is not in the home, the boy will find a father in the streets. I saw it in my generation and every generation before me, and every one since. If the streets raise you, then the judge becomes your mother and prison becomes your home."
But hey, if you get a kick out of anti-white race-baiting, then have at 'er--just don't confuse that activity with addressing your community's challenges in any meaningful way, nor with demonstrating that black lives actually matter to you.
